myfckdupfamily podcast - bizarre and bewildering stories of dysfunctional families
Every family has a story.
Some are just more fckdup than others.
Hello, I'm Paul Dunne. And ever since I learned to talk, I’ve been telling stories about my family.
With ten older brothers and sisters, I’ve never been short of material.
My father was a drinker, a gambler and a womaniser, my mother a good catholic. Theirs wasn’t so much a marriage, as a collision of two totally opposing ways of life.
All this resulted in our home being a magnificent incubator for some outrageous behaviour.
And what I’ve noticed in the recounting of these scandalous antics over the years is this:
There’s always someone else with a story that puts my family’s shame,
to shame.
I've always loved hearing their stories. To compare. To commiserate. To crack-up laughing at the fckupedness of it all. And that's why myfckdupfamily exists.
So I hope you enjoy listening - and if you know of someone with a story to tell, or have one yourself, please get in touch.
Because remember, shame is relative.
